The Application is engineered to function entirely without collecting personal information. Specifically:
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, create a profile, or log in with an email address, phone number, or social media account.

- No Location Data: The Application never requests, accesses, or tracks your GPS or device location.

3 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
To deliver personalized learning and progress tracking, the Application stores data locally on your device storage (using local preferences and SQLite database):
- Learning Progress & SRS Statistics: Studied kanji records, repetition intervals, quiz scores, accuracy ratings, and streak counters.
- User Preferences: Audio volume, auto-play TTS toggles, and stroke guide display preferences.
- Stroke & Canvas Input: Your handwriting strokes on the canvas are processed entirely in-memory on your device for stroke recognition and geometric accuracy analysis. No canvas drawings or stroke vector paths are ever uploaded or transmitted over the internet.
This data remains exclusively on your device and can be cleared at any time through the Application's settings or your device application storage manager.
4 Device Features & Permissions
The Application uses standard, non-intrusive operating system capabilities:
- Text-to-Speech (TTS): Audio pronunciation for kanji readings (Onyomi, Kunyomi) and example sentences is synthesized on your device using native platform speech engines (such as Google Speech Services or Apple Speech Synthesis). We do not record your microphone, voice, or surrounding audio.
- Storage Access: Limited to storing local learning progress and caching app resources on your local device sandbox.
5 Third-Party Services & Analytics
The Application does not include third-party advertising networks, user profiling trackers, or invasive data brokers. Standard platform distribution services provided by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store may collect anonymized diagnostic crash statistics and installation telemetry according to their respective privacy terms.
6 Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K Compliance)
KanjiDraw : Japanese Kanji is an educational tool designed for students of all ages, including children learning the Japanese language. Because the Application does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information, it complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards for minors.
If a parent or guardian believes that any personal information has inadvertently been provided to us, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate measures.
7 Security of Your Data
Because your learning data is contained solely within your device's isolated application sandbox, the security of your data is governed by your device's security controls (such as screen locks and OS encryption). We encourage users to maintain up-to-date operating system security patches.
